Rev. Francisco Vargas

Francisco is a respected and decorated Warrant Officer who devoted over 31 years to the U.S. Army, ultimately retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer Five (CW5). Throughout his military career, he worked and served in various locations around the globe with world leaders and Christians from a multitude of cultural and denominational backgrounds. This extensive experience has allowed him to share the gospel in a meaningful and impactful way, leaving a lasting impression on every community he has engaged with.

 

Since 2004, he has passionately served in ministry, leveraging his extensive military and leadership experiences along with his Christian theological perspective to engage with Christians from diverse cultural and denominational backgrounds around the world. This unique perspective has enriched his ability to minister effectively, fostering a deep appreciation for the missionary lifestyle. Currently, Francisco is an Ordained Minister with the Assemblies of God and serves as the President and Co-founder of "Arms of Comfort." He is currently pursuing further education in Biblical and Theological Compassion Studies.

Rev. Esther Vargas

Esther is a distinguished national and international speaker, having addressed diverse audiences including churches, universities, prisons, military installations, and women's conferences. As a dedicated member of the Project Rescue Bureau, she passionately advocates for individuals affected by human trafficking and exploitation. A proud alumnus Southwestern Assembly of University, Esther holds an Associate degree in Religious Studies, a Bachelor's in Church Leadership with a emphasis on Compassion Ministry, and a minor in Marriage and Family Counseling. She is currently furthering her expertise pursuing a certification Rescue and Restore certification with Project Rescue.

 

​Esther is an Ordained Minister with the Assemblies of God and a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army. With numerous military awards for her dedicated service to soldiers and their families, along with two Presidential Awards, she brings a wealth of experience to her mission. As a Co-founder and Co-leader of "Arms of Comfort," she is passionate about mentoring, educating and serving The next generation of women leaders, as well as military and their families dealing with posttraumatic stress disorder, and military sexual trauma. With over 20 years of military travel experience, she offers a unique perspective on working with diverse cultures and leaders, making her an exceptional choice for speaking engagements.​​​
